We are building our cities into smart cities which utilizes different types of Internet of things (IoT) sensors to collect data and then use these data to manage assets and resources efficiently. The data will be collected from all aspect of our lives in order to monitor and manage transportation systems, power supply networks, water supply networks, crime detection, schools and so on.

Based on the concept of the smart city, we create a multi-layer model which brings all available data source into a map-based presentation. The data sources are mostly open data source comes from the government and they are free to use.

We want to create a platform for manage and present multiple important data sources, use data science to analyze the data, and come up with some insights in the relationship between different data sources.

Currently, we have three layers:

• Base layer: Open street map,
• Layer 1: education map: information on schools in Sydney (from Junior schools to high schools),
• Layer 2: criminal records of the Sydney region,
• Layer 3: air quality data.

As more and more data we are getting, this platform will be more flourish. This platform will present the results of our latest research outcome as an addition.
